Project Description

COMMUNITY TRAINING

The HHR Project provides community training days to educate and train the community and our volunteers on trade skills. These skills can range from how to remove tile to how to install drywall.

Community training empowers homeowners to tackle projects they otherwise would have hired out. With the help of volunteers, homeowners can complete home improvement projects in a timely manner.

We seek out community partnerships with contractors who are willing to donate their time to help enrich these classes. The time donated by the contractor is considered a tax deductible “in kind” donation.

Training the community is a vital part of our mission. Empowering homeowners and volunteers to do more on their own is the key to a successful recovery.
